Top Secret Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 and 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 8 oz butter, softened
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups walnuts

doughSift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Cream butter and sugars till fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Add flour mixture all at once and blend until dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Chill dough at least 1 hour, best 24 hours. The more you chill and the more concentrate flour and keeps more moist. Read this article for more info.

Roll 1 tablespoon of dough into balls. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and flatten. Bake at 325 for 14-16 min until golden. Makes lots of yummy cookies!
